A-Line PCI-8E

Multichannel digital acoustic emission complex with centralized acquisition and processing of data is a convenient and inexpensive tool for solving a wide range of problems in the field of acoustic emission
  • Description

    A-Line 32D (PCI-8E) are multichannel digital acoustic emission systems of traditional structure. AE research data are transmitted from the object under test through preamplifiers via the coaxial cable to the analog central computer station.

    Multichannel AE systems thus constructed are characterized by high performance capabilities, high speed of data processing and are equally suitable both for field operating conditions and scientific research.

    Purposes

    • Non-destructive testing by means of the acoustic emission method without withdrawal: pipelines, pressure vessels, reservoirs, boilers, derricks, cranes, bridges and other objects
    • Detection of crack initiations and extensions
    • Search of corrosion spots, leak and high stress level zones
    • Localization and estimation of defects parameters
    • Real-time tracking of various technological processes and estimation of the technical condition of critical large-scale structures

    Distinctive features

    • Eight AE channels plus two parametric channels on PCI board occupying one computer slot.
    • Full-speed PCI interface ensuring the capacity of 120, 000 events per 8 channels.
    • Maximum number of channels is 64 AE channels in one system unit (completion of the channel number is possible due to the combination of several system units into one measuring system).
    • High measurement range of amplitude – 100 dB.
    • Programmable high-quality digital filters.
    • Real-time analysis of waveform and wavelet spectrum for each channel.
    • Dependability of each A-Line 32D (PCI-8) system is attained due to 100 % incoming and outgoing inspection.
    • The traditional construction diagram of AE system using an analogue data transfer from the preamplifier to the central computing station via a coaxial cable allows attaining the easy application of A-Line 32D (PCI-8).
    • The software realized in Windows-9X, XP environment and common for all A-Line 32D-series devices is used.
