AE signal generator

Generator of acoustic emission signals
Main>Products >Portable devices >AE signal generator
  • Description

    AE signal generator is a device intended for stimulation of elastic fluctuations (waves) which imitate acoustic emission signals at the object under test.

    It is recommended for A-Line 32D (PCI-8E) AE systems.

    • Pulse amplitude up to 300 V.
    • Pulse rate range from 1 to 10 Hz.
    • Possibility of setting the pulse emission time.
    • Operation from battery and external power source.
    • Low power consumption.

    • Application

      AE signal generator can be used together with acoustic emission system in the following cases:

      • Check of AE system workability;
      • Calibration of acoustic emission sensors mounted at the tested object;
      • Determination of spreading speed and attenuation degree of elastic vibrations in the tested object;
      • Check of correct AE computation of acoustic emission sources by means of the location coordinate system just before testing.

      The AE signal generator (calibrator) is included to basic equipment sets:

      • The automated diagnostic complex of side frames and spring beams of freight cars;
      • The acoustic emission unit for testing oil and petrol cistern pots.
